To Appa - with love

I happened to come across a hoarding the other day which said-  "The most influential people in your life, stay the shortest in your life" - and the moment just froze for few seconds, how true !!!! these are angels who slowly enter your life and by the time you have realized, they would have commanded your hearts respectfully.

One such lovely being, came into my life and remoulded my entire existence into what i am supposed to be now.He came, conquered and swept away all my shortcomings leaving the sweetest moments ever...which i live with today...this poem is the most simple expression of all that he was to me, cant express in one single poem...

One such night

When the moon was bright

I missed you

To the core of my heart.

You always said,

“I am not the reason

For us to be apart

But when u do miss me

Look at the sky

The glowing moon

Will always gaze

Over you like me”.

I always wondered

Would the moon share

the same warmth

you gave me?

Wipe all my fears and tears

With a mere gaze ?

Guide me when I falter ?

Reveal me the mysteries

Of the world ?

Could it make me

Sit on its lap

Just like the

Way you used to ?

Share all

My pains and sufferings

while making us smile?

Nothing and no one

Can replace you

Other then you and

The only YOU.
